Karin Gunderson serves as a Harp Practitioner for several hospice units in Phoenix, Arizona, and is fondly known as the “singing harpist.”
When she began playing for hospice, nursing homes, group homes and other senior venues, she found there was not a wide selection of musical styles for lever harp. Her teacher,
Dr. Suzanne Balderston of Sun City West, AZ and her husband, Jerry Gunderson of Phoenix, both began filling this need by arranging and creating music written specifically for the lever harp (that could also be used with pedal harp).
